After scouring several spacecraft, saving Jena, Nadia, and Claire from certain death and starvation, Royce continues his scavenging mission into the depths of space. There are derelict ghost ships, endless chasms of dark corridors, and the threat of hungry zombies. Fortunately for Royce, he has assistance. Not long after exploring another vessel, Nadia confesses her desire to join Royce's relationship with Claire...and Jena is beginning to consider becoming part of the group, too.

After saving Claire, it becomes Royce's mission to restore power and other functions to his ship. During this time, he contends with various infected and hungry shamblers trying to take a bite out of him... and that Claire might have a surprise in store for him. All while prepping to meet Jena, Claire's attractive best friend.

Royce was the average man aboard an average vessel, sleeping soundly in the Drifter. Until he was rudely awakened. Now, as he searches for survivors, it's up to Royce to uncover what exactly happened to the ship. Along the way, he meets a woman named Claire, but she's trapped in one of the few remaining escape pods.

James was no one special until he became an overnight millionaire. With his financial worries gone, he sets his eyes on a local waitress named Beth in hopes to explore a possible relationship. Then the world changed forever. After James narrowly escapes death, he takes refuge in his mountainside mansion with Beth and her attractive friend Claire. With fallout destroying the weather system and people going insane from an unknown neurotoxin, the world is more dangerous than it ever has been.

One dark evening, James picks up a mysterious woman's voice over his radio. Her only request is to be rescued from a wandering group of crazed survivors. In exchange, she promises top secret information and her skills as a scientist. It doesn't end there. People are starting to change into something more dangerous than just starving humans. That and the weather system has been corrupted by nuclear war. With time running out, it's up to James, Beth, Claire, and now Myra to discover the true force behind the apocalypse.
