Fidelma in Lebensgefahr. Irland 672: König Colgú und Prinzessin Gelgéis wollen in wenigen Wochen heiraten. Doch kurz vor dem Fest erreicht Colgú die Nachricht, dass die Prinzessin spurlos verschwunden ist. Mit zwei Begleitern ist sie aus rätselhaftem Grund aufgebrochen - einen von ihnen hat man ermordet in den Bergen gefunden. König Colgú wendet sich an seine Schwester Fidelma und bittet sie um Hilfe.
