When unexpected debris from outer space floats around their peaceful planet, the Clangers explore these strange arrivals with curiosity and wonder. Having trouble fishing, Major Clanger aims to build a boat fit to fish in space. As he tries to launch his boat made from scraps, it barely pops off the ground. To help her father, Tiny talks to the Music Trees about the situation. They graciously give Tiny some of their notes to create a music wheel. After the Clangers attach the new wheel to the boat, it begins to soar brilliantly. Now the Clangers can properly fish.
