Life Bites Series. We need dreams and aspirations in life no matter what they are to give us the impetus towards better things. We need to aspire at times even if it appears sheer fantasy because that allows our minds to work unheeded and unfettered by logic and material constraints. It can be a bit of a "downer" coming back to the reality of life from our luxurious dreams and aspirations but they are our dreams and our aspirations and they are what they are and are very pride to us also.

Life Bite Series. You are a product of yourself. What you wear, how you speak, what you eat, what you do, etc., it's all a decision that you have taken and it outwardly shows too. Similarly, life is a product of your decisions and how you interact with the various parameters in life. What fits into your comfort zone or what you do to try things outside of it are still down to you. Your views on life play a considerable part in how you enjoy life (or not) and how you make friends (or not) and what you do in life; no one does this for you.

Life Bite Series. Our Attitude is a culmination of how we think and feel as well as our perceptions in life. We are viewed by our attitude as we view others by theirs. Our attitude can make us or break us. Good attitudes always come out on top bad attitudes do quite the opposite. The good news is that you control your attitude so you can make it good at any time you wish. This concise 6 min bite deals with just that.

It is important that we feel fulfilled in life. Being fulfilled is not the same as everything being okay. Being fulfilled is that feeling we have that has an overall purpose, whether it's making your business grow, doing voluntary work, being a mum or a dad, creating something, whatever it is to you that provides that overall purpose. It's different things to different people. Many of today's mental problems stem from a lack of purpose, when this happens we crave all sorts of things to fill that "void" within.

A Concise look how if not careful we can become embroyled with our circumstances and let them control us as opposed to allowing ourselves to control ourselves regardless of the circumstances. It's often an easy option to blame circumstances or hide behind them as an easy opt out of doing something in life. But it all holds "no water". We should be in control of what we do as circumstances can change in a flash.

Life Bites Series. Self Esteem is vitally important for without it we can lose out on a lot in life including our jobs and allowing ourselves to be happy. Self esteem is what we think about ourselves and our standing in life. It's not being arrogant it is understanding who we are which is totally different and it also puts into place our standing and relationship with others and life itself. We are all different and there isn't such a thing as "one size fits all" but we have to understand where we are placed.

Forgiveness is essential if we are not to burden our minds with events that have passed. It is not always easy but it is essential. Gandhi said "The weak can never forgive it only comes from the strong," and it is so true. The ignorant, those who worship evil religions, and the stupid can never ever forgive as to them it's a lack of face so they harbour hatred and evil and carry it around with them as a moribund justification. Hence they are great failures in life as they can't move on. Anger within hurts yourself more than anything, it's like drinking poison and expecting others to die, it never works.

Life Bite Series. Love is the single most important element / state / emotion that the human race has. Take love away and we are no better than drones or robots. Where pure love exists there is no evil whatsoever, why would there be. Where conditional love exists like in Islam then there is forever upheaval and unrest and mortification. We need love to exist and we need people to love and we need to be loved too, whether it is a significant other or just a very good friend it matters not, we need that bond.

Life Bite Series. Blame culture is relatively new, although blame itself is as old as the hills. If we are to make anything from our lives and gain respect we should be able to accept what is and not make excuses as to why it isn't the way it should be or the way we would like it. Life will rarely be the way we want it to be, which doesn't mean that it can't be better. But blaming others who have no control over you or even know you exist is stupid.

Forget about "Blame Culture" or circumstances or situations, you are in charge of your life at all times, never ever forget that. You wouldn't leave home naked so don't leave home thinking that someone else is in charge of you. Never ever give your authority away to anyone else no matter who or what. Yes, you have to comply at times to where you are whether at work or play, but that doesn't mean being subservient or a sponge to others who are bombastic or domineering.

Failure has been given a bad name. Yes it is not nice to fail we all like to win, come out on top because it makes us feel good. But without failure we don't have success and we are all living the lives we are today because many people have failed, some mega time too. Pharnaceuticals (where scientists fail every day for years trying to find a solution), aviation, engineering, businesses, etc, we all fail from time to time. We do however get 10/10 for trying, we get nothing for not trying or doing nothing.

People have a tendency to look at the worst in people. They especially have that tendency when the people are stars who have made millions of dollars in the rap industry. I have seen and recorded the worst but I choose to focus on the best. Lil Wayne is not a success because he spews explicit language, demeans black women and jumps up and down on stage with his shirt off - anyone can do that.

Our fetishes, our secret desires, private hobbies and likes etc, often that are out of the "norm" or general understanding of pedestrian thought. This can lead us to living a "double life", it can be exciting, it can be cruel, it can be unkind and it can be lonely.

It is important to value who you are. It is difficult at times when you are in a dark place and life seems to have no viable solutions as to what to do and where to go - but they are there. It is very difficult too when in that dark place to have any energy because it seems to be sapped out of you because of a lack of impetus and desire. Your mind knows what it wants, the body seems not to care and all one can dream about is to be left alone or waiting for that magic moment when all will be OK and it doesn't arrive.

We talk about what is and what isn't normal, but in reality "Normal" is only a relative term. What some call normal is abnormal for others (what is normal for a spider is chas for the fly). Everything in life is perspective based and that is relative to our understanding, background, education, religion and cultural habits. Our views on life can at times even make us wonder perhaps "Am I normal" in relation to others and vice versa.

We all have far more authority than we give ourselves credit for. Our upbringing, the media, rules and regulations, evil religions, outmoded customs and traditions all whittle away at the fabric of who we are. We have notions that saying NO will offend others, or that if we don't give in to certain things, it will upset others or spoil some grand plan. Yet whose life are you living? And what right have others to take away what you want, for themselves?

Do you live your of life of your own accord or do you live it because others have directed you or put pressure on to you to live it in a certain way? Many people actually live a life with a constancy of saying "If I do this so and so will get upset" so they don't do what they want to do. That's not acceptable living in the footprint or fear of possibly upsetting someone else.

When we get angry, upset, or someone does something we don't like, or we feel disadvantaged, we process that information in our mind. It is the only place where we can "come to terms" with what we have experienced, whatever it is. Our levels or degrees of intelligence play a vital part in how we think and look at life. Ghandi said that "forgiveness was not something the lower classes or the uneducated could do", and by and large it appears to be true.

The only person to suffer from un-forgiveness is ourselves. Others can't experience what we think and feel, others can't read our thoughts, only we can get to grips with them. Our pain, torment, self mind talk is purely ours and we are thus the only ones privvy to this, if we get upset then we get upset, no one else will. If we are to move on in life then we must forgive no matter how hard that is.
