Cap’n Bill, a little girl named Trot, and Button-Bright are marooned in Jinxland, a mountainous region adjacent to Oz but separated by a bottomless chasm. While there, they get embroiled in a political rivalry between good King Kynd and the notorious usurper Krewl. When the Scarecrow gets wind of the trouble via Glinda’s Great Book of Records (a kind of precursor to the internet), he joins the fight between good and evil.  

Dorothy Gale and her little dog Toto find themselves traveling through mystical places on their way to Oz. Accompanied by a kind stranger and some other characters, Dorothy follows the road through Foxville and realizes they will make it to the Land of Oz in time for Princess Ozma's royal birthday party. Once the band reaches Oz, Dorothy is met with some familiar faces as the celebration begins. 

Ann Soforth, a rival queen from the land of Oogaboo, raises an army to conquer Oz. Newcomers Betsy Bobbin and her loyal mule, Hank, team up with the Shaggy Man, Ozga, Polychrome, the rainbow’s daughter, and Tik-Tok to thwart Queen Ann and her army of 17 men.

The last of the original Oz books written by L. Frank Baum, this story was dedicated to his son, Robert.

Frank Baum’s Oz Film Manufacturing Company. 

This, the complete and unabridged original tale that provided us with the best-loved classic movie, stands on its own as a great modern fairy tale. Dorothy, her dog, Toto, and her companions, the Tin Woodsman, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion, are characters who endure in the hearts of children and adults alike. "A Kidnapped Santa Claus" is a short story by L. Frank Baum, author of the Oz stories. In it, The Daemons of the caves, resentful of Santa Claus, who rebuffs their attempts to subvert him by temptation, capture him in his sleigh on Christmas Eve and imprison him in their caves. Santa's helpers: a fairy, pixie, knook, and ryl, finish his deliveries with a few comical mishaps. Assembling a magical army of good beings, the queen of the fairies leads an attempt to rescue Santa Claus from the clutches of the evil Daemons.

L. Frank Baum's sequel to The Wizard of Oz is a delightful account of the further adventures of the Scarecrow and Tin Woodman and their strange experiences of the Highly Magnified Woggle-Bug, Jack Pumkinhead, the Animated Saw-Horse and the Gump.

Very much in the style of L. Frank Baum ( The Wizard of Oz), this story shows that Harry Potter was not the first remarkably popular world hit in junior literature. A Kidnapped Santa Claus, a fun fantasy, is actually a continuation of the first novel Baum wrote in this vein, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. In it, he charts his hero's life from a foundling in the forest to becoming all children's favorite uncle. This story, though, has the advantage of brevity.

"A Kidnapped Santa Claus" is a Christmas-themed short story by American writer L. Frank Baum, the author of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz"; it has been called "one of Baum's most beautiful stories".The story opens with a quick overview of Santa's castle in the Laughing Valley. Its focus soon switches to the five Caves of the Daemons in nearby mountains. These creatures are pagan daemons rather than Christian demons, in that they are not servants of Satan or necessarily evil.

Santa Claus, as a baby, is found in the Forest of Burzee by Ak, the Master Woodsman of the World (a supreme immortal), and placed in the care of the lioness Shiegra; but thereupon adopted by the Wood Nymph, Necile. Upon reaching young adulthood, Claus is introduced by Ak to human society, wherein he sees poverty and difficulties. Because he cannot reside in Burzee as an adult, he settles in the nearby Laughing Valley of Hohaho, where the immortals regularly assist him, and Necile gives him a little cat named Blinky.

Dorothy is swallowed by an earthquake! And that is just the start of Dorothy's adventures in this exciting and fun book, also known as Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz. She and her kitten, Eureka are on their way home and stop to visit a relative in California. But the earthquake opens the ground under their feet and everyone, including the horse and buggy and her cousin Zeb fall deep, deep into the earth. Down there they find they can walk on air, but are attacked by the strange and dangerous vegetable creatures.

The adventures of Dorothy in the Land of Oz. Thanks in part to the 1939 MGM movie, it is one of the best-known stories in American popular culture.

The Road to Oz takes Dorothy on an adventure in Oz to a grand party in honor of Ozma's birthday. It starts near her home on Uncle Henry's farm in Kansas when she helps a shaggy stranger find the road he is seeking. On the way they find a young boy, Button-Bright, and together they get lost, only to find themselves in the fairylands of Oz.

Mother Goose in Prose is a collection of classic children's stories based on Mother Goose nursery rhymes. It was the first children's book written by L. Frank Baum.
