But before any of the outlaws had a chance to tell where the gold was hidden they were ambushed inside the mansion by U.S. Marshals and only two of the brothers of one of the gangs survived. They would not tell where they hid the gold so both brothers were hanged and to this day no one knows where the gold was hidden.
