A poignant memoir of a Black man you don't meet everyday, emerging author Jason Hill has raised the standard of the nonfiction narrative. A introverted kid growing up in Chicago, Hill recounts in a voice you'll never forget how he overcame everything from family dysfunction, bullying, incarceration, and homelessness to forge his own unmistakable path in which you'll also recognize yourself. Vulnerable, well-written, funny, and inspiring, through it all, Jason Hill is brutally honest about his own flaws and shortcomings, holding nothing back.

Social Hill is both novel and memoir, the true story of a good man with great potential and a mood disorder living far under his potential, who's failed at just about everything: college, the Navy, more colleges, relationships, several jobs. Suddenly, at the age of 30, after just being kicked out of the military, he meets a naïve Caucasian woman 10 years his junior, and although they are not compatible in any way, he feels compelled to marry her after she unexpectedly becomes pregnant with his child.

My sincere thoughts as I wrote this book was to capture the many marriage lessons I have learned over time. One of the greatest revelations is that your marriage journey will always start with you. You can only control your actions. I can tell you that if you do not ask the right relationship questions, you will never get the right answers to sustain a viable marriage.

I have personally found that as humans, we often limit ourselves. Perhaps you feel that way, too. Interestingly enough, it's much more common than you may think. Many actually decide that they want to live a life limited in its potential! I hope to change that thought pattern for anyone who is interested. Every person you have ever met - in fact, every person you have ever heard of - possesses a hidden superpower. We, as humans, are all blessed with one hidden superpower - the greatest one of all. We all have free will, the ability to literally change everything we experience.

Generational Ignorance focuses on the relationship(s) between ideologies incorporated from inherited trains of thought and those that have been granted the option or encouraged to utilize them to propel "progression". This audiobook begs the question, "Why is ignorance, obnoxious behavior, or a pathway to prison vaguely considered when a child's inheritance is brought to the table?" Generational Ignorance presents a parable composed to denounce the myth that prized possessions predominantly comes in forms of assets, real estate, and positive productivity.
