It was 1862, and what a year it was. A man by the name of Jesse Wells was about to become a legend, but not the kind of legend to be proud of. Sam Jackson had over a thousand acres of tobacco that brought in so much money it made him the richest farmer in a town called Painville. During the late 1800's Tom Sanderson's farm was a great place for fishing. Tom was a very friendly man that liked to give tours in his cave to anyone that fished or hunted on his farm. But Tom's kindness would eventually do him in. One day, like any other day, Tom approached two men that were drinking and fishing in his pond. Tom asked the men, "Would you like to take a tour in my cave just over the hill?" The two men knew Tom was loaded and heard that he kept his money in his overalls.

What's supposed to be an upcoming authors dream would turn into a night of hell and become a curse to any one that happened to glance upon the last writings of author Richard Valance from the unfinished horror novel titled A Blast from Hell. Richard's publisher said in angry voice, if you don't finish that book tonight you're a dead man, and just to make sure, I'm coming over until you finish the last pen stroke. I've got too much money invested for this novel to die from someone that made a promise to me and not deliver.

Michael would let his friend Delbert develop his pictures in his darkroom while he was developing his own. Delbert really envied Michael's photographs and would often close his eyes and day dream about being a famous photographer some day. Delbert was only 15 years old.

The Summerville Plantation was full of joy and happiness until one day when little Billy Edwards was found dead in the attic.
