Auch von unheimlichen Spukerscheinungen hört Theodor munkeln... Immer und immer wieder starrt er wie unter Zwang hinein!

18. Jahrhundert. In einer kleinen, armseligen Waldhütte in Fuldaer Forst: Der junge Revierjäger Andres weiß nicht mehr aus noch ein, seine wunderschöne italienische Frau Giorgina ringt mit dem Tode und sein neun Wochen altes Baby droht zu verhungern. Doch da klopft wie ein Engel in der Not ein wahrer Gentleman an seine Tür: Ignatz Denner. Teuflisch ist die Falle, die Denner mit Geduld und Weitsicht stellt... und unaufhaltsam stolpert die junge Familie hinein.

Knox' neueste Erfindung war sicherlich gut gemeint. Aber musste Lupo denn gleich die ganze Flasche über den vertrockneten Tomatenstrauch schütten?

Das Ergebnis ist jedenfalls verheerend: Tomatilla, wie sich die Monsterpflanze nennt, wächst Lupo, Fix, Foxi und Onkel Fax buchstäblich über den Kopf. Und sie entwickelt ein höchst gefährliches Eigenleben!

Während Fix, Foxi, Lupinchen und Lupo mit ihrer Band "Die Ufos" in der Garage proben, landen im Vorgarten echte Außerirdische. Onkel Fax glaubt, dass er von Fix und Foxi veralbert wird, und entwaffnet die beiden verblüfften Aliens. Die zeigen sich recht verärgert und beschließen, erst einmal die gesamte Menschheit zu lähmen. Fix und Foxi müssen die Erde retten!

Als Lupo erfährt, dass er seinen Onkel Ludwig von Gruselstein beerbt, ist die Vorfreude groß. Doch leider gibt es zunächst mal nichts außer einer alten Wandergitarre. Lupo ist stocksauer. Bis Fix und Foxi ein altes Pergament entdecken, das in der Gitarre versteckt ist: die Besitzurkunde von Schloss Gruselstein! Dummerweise ist Lupo nicht der Einzige, der Anspruch auf das Schloss erhebt.

Knox hat eine Zeitmaschine erfunden, die noch nicht ganz ausgereift ist. Durch einen dummen Zufall berührt Lupo einen falschen Hebel, sodass Fix, Foxi, Lupinchen und er ganz plötzlich durch einen Zeitstrudel in die Vergangenheit gerissen werden. Nicht nur, dass sich die Freunde nun mit Höhlenmenschen herumschlagen müssen. Nein, bei dem Zeitsprung ist auch noch Lupinchen verschwunden. Werden die drei Lupinchen finden und in ihre Zeit zurückkehren können?
