Being a real witch in Salem isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Just ask Piper Knight, who fled the East Coast for the West Coast after graduation—grand plans of being a “normal” naturalist taking up residence in her head—only to have to return to her hometown if she wants to save her grandmother’s failing boutique hotel, the Salemdipity.

As a descendent of one of the original women accused of being a witch during the trials hundreds of years ago, Piper is determined to keep her grandmother’s legacy alive. Unfortunately, the old witch might be going a little batty. Since Piper’s parents refuse to help—they’re threatening to lock up Wanda Alden and throw away the key if she causes one more public incident—that means Piper is on her own.

She’s a witch, so everything should be okay. Or maybe that’s just witchful thinking.

Jasper Cage grew up in Salem hating witch stories. There are other paranormals in the world after all, thank you very much. Why should witches get all the attention? As a half-vampire—he’d much prefer being a whole one but he didn’t get a say in the matter—he has attitude to spare.
