CURIOSITY SCIENCE 6Grade 6 Science Textbook: Twelve Journeys to Discover How the World WorksWhat if science were not something to memorize—but something to discover?CURIOSITY SCIENCE 6 invites students to explore science through questions, observation, prediction, testing, evidence, and discovery. Across twelve journeys, students learn not only what science explains, but how scientists think.TWELVE JOURNEYS. ONE CURIOUS MIND.Students explore:The Wonderful World of ScienceDiversity in the Living WorldMindful EatingMagnetsMeasurement and MotionMaterialsTemperatureStates of WaterSeparation MethodsLiving CreaturesNature's TreasuresBeyond EarthFROM READING TO DOINGEvery journey becomes an Innovators Quest. Students predict, investigate, record observations, distinguish observation from inference, examine evidence, and rethink their ideas when the evidence disagrees. Quest Labs turn everyday materials and experiences into hands-on investigations.THINK LIKE A SCIENTISTStudents are encouraged to question first impressions:Is a bat a bird because it flies?Does one successful test prove an idea forever? How can we test what we think we know? The book's central scientific habit is simple:Keep the test. Change the guess.BUILD MASTERYStudents encounter AHA Moments, Quest Labs, Misconception Alerts, Future Labs, Key Terms, Innovator Challenges, Teach It activities, Practice Questions, Mastery Missions, and Master Answer Keys. The Think Across section brings ideas together and encourages students to reason beyond individual journeys. This is a science textbook designed to be used, questioned, tested, and experienced—not simply read. For curious minds ready to become better questioners, careful observers, thoughtful testers, and confident learners.Because science is never finished.Explore. Question. Test. Discover.
