Double J Ranch

Dex Jarvie was a third-generation cowboy, and his family history was steeped in traditions. They were important to him, and no woman was going to trample on them. Dex was known as a hard man. He was fair, loyal, and trustworthy. But a series of unfortunate events in his life had made him hard. He was a glass-half-empty kind of guy who didn’t trust easily. But when he loved, he loved fiercely. Currently, the only thing he loved was the land his ranch was built on.

Annabelle’s life was uprooted when she and her brothers moved to Texas after the death of their mother. Their estranged father, Dex Jarvie, owned the Double J Ranch in Texas. It was a whole other world from their life in Miami. Her father was a cowboy. What was she supposed to do with that? While her brothers began to embrace ranch life, Annabelle couldn’t wait to leave. Colt Reardon was given the unpleasant task of helping Dex’s daughter adjust to life in Texas. He’d do anything for his boss, but Miss Annabelle wasn’t interested in adjusting, or even staying around very long.
