The story unfolds at the ancient Houde Earthen Fort in Dehua, Fujian Province. This aged fortress served as the ancestral homeland of a prominent clan and a waystation for ancient wanderers, rather than a commercial trading hub. A great number of rare ancient porcelain pieces have been preserved here, together with a poignant cross-border romance originating in the late Qing Dynasty.

Mario, a man of Italian-Chinese mixed heritage, purchases an ancient architectural blueprint of the earthen fort at a Milan auction. To retrieve the hidden treasures left by Count Arthur, he has to hunt for the precious parchment map concealed in Dehua.
Upon arriving in Fujian, he crosses paths with Zhu Yutong, a master of Qimen divination, and the brave Tang Xin. The three protagonists join forces to uncover countless secrets lurking within the eerie earthen fortress.

Frequent space-time anomalies drag them a hundred years back into the past. They witness Count Arthur battling bandits relentlessly to defend the fortress, his precious porcelain collection and his beloved lover. After a sorrowful separation, numerous porcelain antiques drifted to Italy and stayed overseas for decades.

Chased relentlessly by the traitor Anthony and his gang, who leaked all secrets and sold them to outsiders, the trio cracks intricate traps one after another while searching for the precious parchment map and the buried treasure. Blending Dehua’s thousand-year porcelain heritage and local historical legends, the story unravels the long-standing hidden secrets and a sorrowful love across two eras.
