Once eighteen-year-old Connor Moore stumbles across an almost human species, he is faced with history's darkest secret, a daunting future, and a love life he can't even begin to explain. If He-Who-Should-Not-Be-Named and Keyser Söze had a best friend, Vercin would be him. Connor will have to put his huevos rancheros on the line to stop Vercin from doing a boatload of bad things. Like really bad. The board is set, the pieces are ready, and the fate of the world will be decided by the victor.
