The Order of Brotherhood

For twenty years, Ky lived a life built on steady foundations. With his fiercely loyal circle of friends, his future in the valley of Erida seemed certain. He was supposed to stand proudly on the grand festival stage, claim the ceremonial crown, and build a life with the girl he loved. Then came the betrayal. Shattered by a broken promise and a ruined future, Ky runs to the ancient, forbidden woods. He intends to claim the light of The Guardian—a sacred contract that binds a soul to the cosmos for seventy years to hold the dark forces at bay.

He expects a quick escape from his suffocating pain. Instead, the Whisper spirit-faery rejects him. A heart fueled by bitter resentment will only corrupt the cosmic flame. Given a strict two-day window to return to Erida, Ky is challenged to face the shadows of his past. If he cannot find peace within himself before the countdown ends, the forest will look elsewhere, leaving his village and realm, to face seventy years without a guardian.
