Linda C. Wright

Linda C. Wright was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and the only member of her family not born in the State of Michigan. Our family moved around and I was raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. Ohio will always be my home. After graduating from Bowling Green State University, and slipping on the ice in an April 9th snowstorm, I packed my bags and moved to Florida. I've been here ever since. I married Richard, got a B.A. degree in accounting from Florida Atlantic University and launched my writing career. My love for numbers as well as words forces me to use both sides of my brain which will hopefully keep me on top of the world for many years to come. The inspiration for my first novel, One Clown Short came from my years working as a manager for a Fortune 500 company. My essays have since appeared in several editions of Chicken Soup For the Soul. My newest memoir is A Bittersweet Goodnight. It is the Bronze award winner of the 2019 Royal Palm Literary Award in the memoir category. A tragedy precedes the entrance of a stepmother. What happens next is the journey of a lifetime. Stayed tuned! A Bittersweet Goodnight has been named a Finalist in the memoir category in the 14th Annual National Indie Excellence Awards.
