Acerca de este título

I wrote this book because I needed it myself. For years, I chased balance and peace through all the usual channels—working harder, buying gadgets, reading productivity tips—only to find myself more exhausted than before. What finally helped wasn’t another app or supplement. It was something far simpler, something I had almost forgotten: walking slowly among trees.

The Japanese call it Shinrin-yoku, which means “forest bathing.” It’s not exercise, not hiking, and not about distance or speed. It’s about presence. It’s about slowing down, breathing deeply, and letting nature do what it has always done—calm your mind, restore your energy, and strengthen your body.

Science now confirms what tradition has always known: spending time in nature lowers stress, reduces anxiety, improves focus, and even boosts your immune system. The forest is more than beautiful scenery—it is medicine. And it is available to all of us, right now, whether we live near mountains, suburbs, or busy cities.

This book is my guide to help you discover it for yourself. It is made up of 30 short, focused chapters, each designed to offer immediate value without filler or fluff. You’ll find history, science, and practical guidance woven together in a way that is simple, approachable, and personal.

My goal is not to overwhelm you with information, but to give you something you can use today, even if it’s just a few mindful minutes in your local park.

Inside, you’ll learn:

  • The origins of Shinrin-yoku and why it became a cornerstone of Japanese health and longevity.
  • How walking in nature lowers stress hormones, improves sleep, and strengthens immunity.
  • Ways to practice forest bathing no matter where you live—even in busy cities.
  • The role of the senses—sight, sound, touch, scent, and even taste—in deepening presence.
  • How forest bathing supports mental health, creativity, resilience, and balance across every stage of life.
  • Simple rituals and tips to make nature a steady part of your routine.
