We live in a time between worlds and a time between stories. The demand, obligation, and joy of this time is to cross over. This is what we have called The Crossing. At the core of the crossing is the evolutionary journey from Homo sapiens to Homo amor. This is not a fanciful conjecture but an authentic evolutionary potential. The root of the meta-crisis is not a crisis of resources; it is a crisis of imagination. We need to reimagine our identity and in doing so reimagine the future. We address anew the three great questions of life: Where am I, where are we? Who am I, who are we? What is mine and what is ours to do?

We are the leading edge of evolution-an unbearable privilege and unbearable responsibility. As Homo amor, we are ripped open by the outrageous pain and the outrageous beauty that animates the real. We know: the only response to outrageous pain is Outrageous Love. The only response to outrageous beauty is Outrageous Love.

Our unique risk is to be an Outrageous Lover. Our unique risk is always a risk for the sake of higher and deeper intimacies. Authentic moments of intimacy change history, and this is exactly what is desperately needed in this time.

To emerge as Homo amor, the new human and the new humanity, we are obligated to confess our greatness and to clarify our deepest heart's desire-which is the evolutionary impulse awake and alive in us, as us, and through us. It is only through the claiming of real value as alive in us, as us, and through us, that we have any chance at all of finding our way beyond the global action confusion and global action paralysis.

We are Beloveds and Lovers of the Real-intended, desired, recognized, chosen, love adored, and desperately needed by All-That-Is.
