I’ve worn many hats over the past 66 years - ordained minister, counselor, business owner, criminal justice professional, medical researcher, spouse, father, grandfather, and author.
In each of these contexts, I’ve pondered the big questions:
- Where did we come from?
- Why are we here?
- What happens after we die?
I have been influenced by various Christian traditions, as well as Buddhist and other Eastern thought.
Studies in psychology, sociology, and philosophy, as well as my lifelong love for physics, have also informed my thinking.
Still, all these disciplines must ultimately harmonize with life experience itself.
After processing and pondering more information than I can remember, and after having countless conversations with numerous people from around the world and from many backgrounds, I have reached some conclusions.
The following poems reflect what I believe to be true regarding the universe we live in and the life we experience. We know so little, but we know far more than we once did.
I trust the verses that follow will open your mind, suggest some new answers and give you hope regarding the future.
