Sally Edwards didn't have many friends at Gravendale High School. Whenever Sally tried out for sports she would be picked on by her classmates because she was a tomboy. Sally had buck teeth and matted hair and slurred her speech. She also wore the same clothes to school every day. Sally was poor and was being raised by her alcoholic grandfather who didn't have long to live, maybe weeks at best. When her classmates got wind of the passing of her grandfather the following week they started picking on her pretty hard.

Mrs. Knoll didn't know it, but fixing up the plantation was a bad idea. Whenever anyone does renovations to an old home, this angers any ghosts present and sometimes leads to fatal consequences. Charlie Edwards worked many years at his father's funeral parlor, but Charlie was getting pretty bored talking to the dead every day and not getting any response. So one day he decided he would pick up someone at the local pub, put something in their drink, and drive them back to the funeral parlor. Then he would place them in a casket with a glass top so he could see their face and talk to them. When his drugged victims woke up, they weren't too happy to be hanging out at the Edwards Funeral Parlor as Charlie Edwards' entertainment.
