When Charles Morris is forced into retirement, the old multinational company CEO has to accept that it is all over. The days of running his financial empire have finally come to an end. As if things couldn't get any worse, Arthur is trying to survive yet another dreadful shift at the Hammy Burger when a supervillain barges in and takes him as a hostage. It's clear, from the get-go, that this villain is a poor schmuck who just happened on a dose of ChemX. And so, in an attempt to save the poor bastard from the consequences of his foolish actions, Arthur tries to convince him to surrender. But when the caped cavalry arrives, something happens and Arthur is exposed to a leak of the mysterious chemical substance.

This is it, the day I take over my father’s adventuring shop! Set at the base of Gianskarl mountain, where lies a vast and mysterious dungeon, this is the perfect spot. Many adventurers come to try their hand at the Karl in the hopes of hitting it big. And it’s up to me now to sell them the equipment they’ll need to face the dangers that await them. But where my father was content selling trinkets for a pittance, I want to turn this modest shop into the industry leader.

When he came back, he decided that he would do two things. First, he would marry the love of his life, Salla. Second, he would make good on his promise to Princess Alara Dagon to see the dungeon core located within the West End Mine destroyed. For that purpose, Dren parties up with a group of seasoned adventurers: a psion, a warrior, a rogue, and a monk. With so much firepower between these five, they should make short work of the dungeon, right? Right? But what starts as a routine delve quickly turns into a nightmare.

I struggled every day, looking to put something on the table, but it was my life, and no one had a right to take it. Especially not Eris Lanyer, lord of the city, the very same who was supposed to keep people such as myself safe! The nobleman killed me without a second thought for the sole purpose of testing the blade he had just acquired! So here I am, burning with such a rage at this flagrant lack of justice. My hate is so immense that I'm unable to pass to the afterlife, and so I return as a Revenant.

Dren has come a long way from the broken man stacking boxes in Arthursberg. Now a Level 4 Artificer and the proud owner of Dren & Associates, he's ready to expand his ambitions—and his inventions. But progress doesn't come without risk, and neither does adventure. Tasked by the Green King himself to scout the mysterious Tallik Treetops, Dren sets off in his latest creation: the Walking Bug. But what started as a simple quest quickly turns into a grand mission that will push him to his limits, forcing him to delve into new dangerous dungeons where peril lurks at every corner.

I did it. It took a lot of sweat and coin, but I managed to bring the Karl back to a functioning dungeon. With my adventuring shop running in full swing, now's the time for the second part of my plan: building New Valley. All that's left for me to do is wait for the lumber I ordered to arrive so I can stake the land, start expanding, and… What? What did you say? My cargo's been stolen? As I start investigating the incident, it becomes increasingly clear that someone's been sabotaging my efforts on purpose.

I guess trying to catch the bus with your laces undone isn’t such a smart decision after all… One fatal collision later, and I’m facing my judgment. As it turns out, I’ve been a lazy sob, and my short, uneventful life of playing games and getting up late wasn’t worth much. And so I don’t qualify to move on to the afterlife. I try to argue to the goddess in front of me that I do have skills, that it was hard work playing those simulation and management games. But she will not concede. In the end, I manage to get the benefit of the doubt, and a wager is made.

Unless you’re like me: a little too carefree, and take a nap that ends up lasting a few thousand years. You can imagine my surprise when I woke up to find that the face of Liora had changed entirely. Gone was the dominion of elves over the world. I had landed right into a period of intense land grab, where Champions were fighting to stake their claim. For any regular chump, this might have seemed like the worst time to resurface, but I’ve lived a long life, and where others see peril, I see opportunity.

Today is the day that I, Luciano Fjorborn, First Paladin of Berella, go out into Yurnip County to push back the forces of darkness with a few vigorous thrusts of my mighty lance! Who’s Berella? Why, she’s the goddess of love, tenderness, and hot rumpy-pumpy, of course! As her loyal servant, it is my mission to go out of my cloister and show the world Berella’s divine love. Repeatedly. And in multiple positions! But it’s a cruel world out there, especially for a Paladin who doesn’t believe in violence.

The gods should have agreed to fight the giants and let Ragnarök run its course and bring about the end of time. For a new world could only rise from the ashes of the old. But because the gods prophesied to die refused to take part, Yggdrasil - the World Tree - was forced to act before the stalemate led to the annihilation of the nine worlds and its very existence.  And so I was born. One of the many seeds dispersed by the mighty World Tree, I was teleported through different planes and universes to find a new home where to settle.

What he finds is an Artificer's workshop—and a gift that will rewrite his destiny.

I gave Eris the first taste of the terror to come, but in doing so, I had to agree to a peace treaty with the King. For the next twelve years, I cannot bring as much as a single unit on human lands… That doesn't mean I'm going to rest, oh no! I will use that time to further build my skills and my kingdom. I need to become even stronger so I can bring Eris one step closer to total annihilation.

Henshaw Tarley has been subdued, and New Valley is now all mine to develop! My plans are clear. First, I need to secure alchemical ingredients for Cynthia, my resident alchemist, so we can start making and selling potions. Second, I must find a wand maker to broaden the range of items we offer in the shop. Then, there's the issue of that magical tattoo parlor I want to set up… For that, I will need someone to teach me the basics of tattooing so I can gain a rank or two and make full use of my new ability.

Though I'm part of the most powerful family in Elantio, I failed to produce mana on my Manifestation day. Thus, I was relegated to the most shameful place for someone of my status: the Archives. What may have seemed like a sentence truly was a blessing in disguise. I may be a mule—one with the blood of a sorcerer yet unable to channel any magic—but what I lack in raw power I make up for with my tenacity. It's in those Archives that I searched and searched for a way to bypass my curse. Now, after years of study and browsing through hundreds of books, I may have found a solution.

I can't take it anymore. This curse, this undead curse… It makes it so every moment is nothing but pure torment. I need to keep busy, to take my mind off of it and alleviate the pain. More than that, I need to find a way to rebuild my powers after I was tricked by my own allies, slain, and reborn. I can't return to the human lands yet. The pact of non-aggression still stands. This leads me to accept a contract that will bring me to the land of the Witch Elves. A place where great dangers lurk—demons and abominations— but also tremendous power.

I can't believe it! I've really been accepted into the Royal Scouts? For real? It's a dream come true for a farm boy like myself, to gain access to the Portal Halls and be able to explore the worlds beyond. More than that, it means I can finally provide for my family. After all, they're the ones who put their savings on the line so I could get a chance to join this prestigious guild. And if I may be at a disadvantage compared to other recruits, as all I know is how to grow beans, I plan on boosting my skills as soon as possible.

When I was summoned to the family estate, I had no idea that my life was about to take a drastic turn. One moment I was good old Arthur, a young man with no real aim in life, the next I was in possession of my first four magical cards, on my way to become a Convoker! But if my grandfather had entrusted this huge responsibility to me, I had to prove worthy. I had to take on the life of an Adventurer and complete our lineage quest—a perilous search and rescue mission in the most treacherous parts of our lands.
