On receiving notification of a mysterious signal, US military specialists became involved in detecting its whereabouts and extricating the relay assembly. Unknown operatives were assigned the task of seeking out and destroying those involved in the delicate and secretive operation. Unknown alien visitors—eight identically dressed beings—were assigned the task of stopping any interference by the United States Military’s specialist operation forces.

Little was known about the Great Southern Ocean during World War Two, or the large icebound continent located at the very bottom of the Blue Planet, known as Earth. Using nautical charts, put together by Old World explorers, and relying on the sharp eyes of the submarine's lookouts, the USS Javelin plowed through the remarkably still, icy waters, towards the Antarctic continent.

In 1944, two United States Army Air Corps Officers are recruited for a mission—a "TOP SECRET" mission to coincide with another. Between departing England and arriving in Australia, their shuttle airplane is attacked by Japanese fighters. However, the planes are reduced to dust by blasts fired from an untraceable source. Awaiting the pilots, Colonel Jeremy McCloud and Colonel Kevin Stillwell, are new orders to sail to Albany, a small whaling town in Western Australia, on board the United States submarine, USS Javelin.
