The seasons have changed, from spring to summer. Skod and Skadi’s family grows. Their daughter, Nesu, is three months old and able to tag along for a family trip. Skod, a pregnant Skadi, Atabey, and Nesu prepare to travel to the fire clan, to visit Warlord Surtr and the ice scribe Riga. However, there are secrets at play, strengthened by pain and shadow… even Surtr tells you to run.

Three months have passed for the newly wedded couple. In that time, Skod has devoted himself to his training and studies of both magic and history. Skadi has resumed her duties within the ice clan, as lead huntress. The two have been kept busy, only able to spend time together when they return home for the night.
