Leo barely defeated the invading orc armies and protected his nascent elf empire… Now, a new threat appears: the Red Plague. Leo, Hugh, Lily, Neha, and Andul are returning to Steelport to save Audrey, who has been captured by House Orsini, the first enemies of Leo's kingdom. Mavis Orsini is prepared to finish them off once and for all with the aid of Kruegar and his orc legions. Meanwhile, Ygg'drasil has opened its first portal to Ice Pines, a dimension of cold and storms. A great opportunity, but new enemies wait to take everything Leo has built from him, and he needs more allies and treasures if he wants to defend his realm.

The dungeon core, Will, has defended himself and his allies from the latest Voidbringer ploy, gaining time in which to grow and expand. More floors, more monsters, newer loot—all in the service of acquiring power to finish off the Voidbringers once and for all...and being the greatest core of all time. But Will has a problem. He can’t figure out how reach his enemies in order to finish them, and they are preparing their next devastating blow. Thankfully, Will has finally reached Level 20—and now he must brave a soul quest of great difficulty to obtain Meta magic.

James Toledo is dungeon descended, third son of a Dungeon Lord. His father was one of the 14 rulers of the Empire of Varad, each in charge of a dungeon core. James never believed he would have a chance to become a Dungeon Lord on his own, despite his dungeon-enhancing perk. But his grandfather found a new dungeon core, and made a deal with a creature of unimaginable power to become the new dungeon’s boss monster. Unfortunately, before James was given control of the new dungeon core, his grandfather was assassinated, and his family murdered or kidnapped by unknown, masked assailants.

Will has managed to pull the four nearby dungeon cores together, but his creatures are woefully under-powered to meet the threats piling up against him and his people. Gar must bring his kingdom, nearby smaller peoples, and any portions of the great Kingdom of Eladrin he can convince to rebel together as part of his new Kingdom of Daruk, putting together a force capable of actually fighting the much larger and richer Kingdom of Eladrin. At the same time, he must wield his fractious adventuring company, Adamant’s Own, as a power to feared.

For Will, he seeks first to absorb the power of the dead Voidbringer Core and then expand to find all the nearby cores. Perhaps, he can ally with them, or even protect them from the Voidbringer threat. In addition, he intends to undergo the trial to discover his third magic with the aid of Amber. Lastly, he must deal with the increasing number of dungeon fairies that are dependent on him.

Will is the newest in a long line of dungeons born into the world — and he’s a rank higher than any dungeon that preceded. He’s born along with seven other dungeons in a small area, but so many dungeons were born in one place because of a magical disaster...a disaster brought about by the Voidbringers who sought to conquer the world.
