It’s pixie season, and they’re everywhere. Win and I are wearing so much pixie gear we look like we’re in space suits. It isn’t fun, but getting dusted is worse. Pixies. Ugh. But Chaos and Aeson need our help, so here we are. To top it off, Winter and I have people showing up from our pasts, demanding our attention and bringing up old hurts. But at least I have him by my side this time—and he has me. Not sure how long it’ll last—even though my heart wants forever and Win’s saying all the right things—but I’m definitely going to hold on to him while I can.

When I was young, I used to dream of finding my viramore—my soulmate—in all these crazy and amazing scenarios. But then my ex-girlfriend hired a mind-bender to mess with my memories, and well, it's no surprise that romantic notions flew out of the window for me. I guess it's fitting that the first time I meet my viramore, he points a crossbow at my head and threatens to kill me if I don't get out of his way. Thing is, I've always liked a good challenge, and Hiro Grimbsy is nothing if not challenging. He's kind of a jerk, but I guess I'm glutton for punishment because I can't seem to stay away.

Anton is beyond frustrating. He was so sweet when we first met, and I’d thought we had a real connection. But then he had to ruin everything with his big mouth and jerky face. Ugh. At home, my life is amazing, thanks to my boyfriend, Cosmo Ono-Nai, and his wonderful family that I’ve become a part of. I’m happier than I’ve ever been in my life. But work is a different story. All anyone’s talking about is the Red Cloth this, the Red Cloth that. I can’t escape them, and all I really want is to find someplace the witches can’t reach, take my family—my pride—there, and hide them away from the world.

As if crushin’ on a shifter wasn’t bad enough, I had to go and date one. A mage and a shifter walk into a bar. No, that’s the whole joke.

A beautiful man in strange clothing starts invading my dreams, and even though I know he isn’t real, the dreams - mind-links, according to him - are so vivid it’s hard to imagine this man doesn’t exist. After a few of these nightly visits, I start looking forward to meeting him and listening to his smooth voice as he tries to convince me to go to Rueberry Orchard.
