Albert the Numbat eats termites for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and he wants to try something new. So he and his friend, Bam the Bilby, set out to find some treats. But things don’t go according to plan. Find out what happens on Albert’s really bad day. One morning, Bam the Bilby was out foraging for food when he came across his friend, Albert the Numbat. Numbats had lived in the scrubland for thousands of years, but now, because of foxes and wild cats, there were just a few left.

Bam was a small bilby who lived in the scrub country. One day, as he was snuffling around looking for food, Sinbad the Cat jumped out from behind a tree stump. Find out how Bam and his animal friends tricked the wild cat and made him run away from their home.

William was a very clever young wallaby. He could do his six times table, knew his ABC and even knew the names of Australia’s longest rivers. He knew what food was good to eat and what food was bad for him, and he knew never to argue with snakes. But William couldn’t jump. His mother, Dorothy, and his father, Eric, told him, 'William, you must learn to jump.'

Belinda’s two eggs are nearly ready to hatch. But here comes Gerald the goanna, who likes to eat eggs for lunch. How will the animals and birds trick him and save Belinda’s eggs? Belinda the black cockatoo lived with her partner, Henry, in a eucalyptus forest that spread along the banks of a river in a valley winding between wheat farms and the rocky hill country. Every year Belinda and Henry returned to the same nest high in an old gum tree. It was built in a cosy hole, where a rotten branch had once broken off in a storm.

Mr. and Mrs. Kookaburra gave their three chicks, Caroline, Castanet and Koko, laughing lessons. After a while they began to notice there was a problem. Koko wasn’t laughing at all. Lots of birds and animals live in the giant angophora tree that grows in the corner of Granny Gail’s garden. There are lizards and beetles, snakes, ants and lorikeets, noisy miners and crows, magpies and burrawongs, white cockatoos and, of course, kookaburras.
