When we lose everything, we tend to gain nothing back without help and support of loved ones. This audiobook describes the many trials and tribulations through which coma patients go. One would consider this counterintuitive, being that one is considered “unconscious” when in a coma. I can testify personally, however, that when you are in a coma, you are not asleep. It’s a dream sort of state. Most of all, this story tries to convey the message not to give up the tough times for easier ones if it’s not right. Sometimes, we must all bear seemingly unbearable pain.

An aged, decrepit old woman wanders the quiet hallways of her home. She remembers a day when they were brighter, more kinetic with anticipation of life within their walls. Family was a regular occurrence, and the tinkling laughter of grandchildren used to echo through the house. Oh, how she missed those times, as she now hobbles oh-so-slowly with her cane through the archaic old home. And as the old woman wanders, reminiscing through the halls, she comes upon a door. Rusty hinges amplify groan of age as the door swings slowly open, and she balances herself in the doorway.

It was a feeling of almost true love when she met this man and, oftentimes, they still wonder how they really ever got together. Everything happened so quickly; but the fact of the matter is that through everything they have done, it always seems like they have known each other for years.

“A Final Kiss” relates the wedding day of Natalie St. John, an educated young woman from a wealthy New England family who must come to terms with the fact that she’s made a life-altering mistake. As an idealistic 17-year-old, Natalie meets and falls in love with Joey Renetti, a charming young waiter at a local Italian café. The characters include a single mom, her children and dog, and a gaming group who are meeting for an evening of fun, as well as a lot of people who know how to say, “I don’t think I can help you." It encapsulates a crisis on what should have been a quiet evening of just hanging out online and having fun.

This is vital because essentially the release date is the first day of the rest of your new life. The main character must make this decision but has to use his heart to guide him.

"Inside Melting House" is a creepy and suspenseful story that will draw into its mystery. It introduces you to sympathetic characters over two generations who, even in the short space of the story, you come to sympathize with and understand.
