I was born in 1964 in Prince George British Columbia on December 18. My biological father was a nice guy when he was not drinking. My mother and he had a very rocky relationship. She left him when I was 8 years old. About three months after they broke up, she found the love of her life, Al Thun. He had just moved from Vancouver and bought the National hotel.

It all started with the best sex of my life when I met my wife. When I met her, I proceeded to hang on for the rest of my life. Which in turn led to our wedding, and then the honeymoon in Punta Cana. My mother paid for our two-week honeymoon in the DR. We stayed at an incredible all-inclusive resort and went outside of the resort to explore. We had some incredible experiences and saw the DR through a new set of eyes P.B. Dye. His family has lived in the DR for quite some time. He and his dad have both built golf courses on the island.

Growing up in Prince George, BC, our family owned the National Hotel from 1972 to 1998. As soon as I was able to pick up garbage in the parking lot, my dad had me working for my allowance. Throughout the years, I have done everything from the payroll, to carrying the raw sewage pipes out during the renovations in 1984. When I was in school, I would work weekends. During summer break, I would work full-time at the hotel. When I had enough of school, I chose to work full-time at the hotel. These are some of the true stories, and - believe it or not - they were seen with my own eyes too.

The following stories took place from 1978 till 2016. They are all 100 percent true. In 1978 my dad, my mom, my dad’s business partner (Walter), and a new party all bought the First Litre Complex. When they first bought it, it consisted of a pub, grocery store, beauty salon, and laundromat. There also was an apartment below the grocery store that the owner-operator was going to live in. The owner operator eventually moved out beside the complex, into a little house that the partners purchased. We leased the grocery store out to an independent operator.
