Who can I trust? And am I trustworthy? These essential questions are at the heart of three women's struggle to succeed. Alisha Carson has betrayed the trust of her colleagues and now must embark on the difficult task of rebuilding trust. Sheryl Simmon's trust has been betrayed both professionally and personally. Will she be able to open her heart again, especially to her husband? And Gemma Morrison has gone from a trusted landscape into the unknown. She has yet to discover who she can trust...and who she can't.

In So Many Freakin’ Secrets, Janet Cheney takes her readers on a journey through her own 1950s/1960s-era dysfunctional upbringing: a life full of secrets, unaddressed emotions, and unhealthy behavior patterns that cultivated a climate of abuse. Punctuated with humor and unusual spurts of joy, Cheney is stymied by unspoken family themes of suppressing grief, hiding abuse, eating away your emotions, "don't talk/don’t share," and withholding love and affection. It all becomes the catalyst to find self-love and learning that all are worthy of love, just for being born.

The soul's journey is one that discovers the true nature of the divine and each soul is love itself. Peeling off all layers of reality, only awareness and love remain. My poems have healed and transformed me, by sharing them I hope they will heal and inspire others.
