Surah An-Nas, the 114th chapter of The Holy Quran, is known as "The Mankind." It is a brief but profound chapter consisting of six verses. The surah emphasizes seeking refuge in Allah SWT from the whispers of Shaytan (Satan) and evil inclinations that may lead one astray. It highlights the universal nature of human vulnerability to such influences and the importance of seeking protection from them. An-Nas is considered a Makki surah, meaning it was revealed in the earlier period of Prophet Muhammad SAW mission, during his time in Makkah.

In order to gain a proper understanding of many verses in the Holy Quran, it is important to understand and know the historic context of the revelations. So many revelations in the Holy Quran came down to provide guidance to Prophet Muhammad and the fellow Muslims based on what they were confronting at that time.

Surah Al-Kawthar or Al-Kautsar ("Abundance or The River of Paradise) is the 108th and shortest chapter (surah) of the Quran. There are several differing opinions as to the circumstances under which it was supposedly revealed. According to Ibn Ishaq, it was revealed in Makka, some time before the Isra and Mi'raj. Imam Ahmad recorded from Anas bin Malik that a man said, "O Messenger of Allah! What is Al-Kawthar He replied: (It is a river in Paradise which my Lord has given me, It is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. There are birds in it whose necks are (long) like carrots.)
