Yoga is far more than a system of physical postures or techniques for relaxation. It is a science of consciousness that teaches us how to gather our scattered energies, live with awareness, and move toward our highest potential. According to Patanjali, the quality of our lives depends not only on how much energy we possess, but on the direction in which we use it.

In the past, science and meditation were considered poles apart, if not adversarial.
