This is a love story of Shitu, a child widow with pure heart and of Visu, a boy with bravado of youth and a soft heart. The story starts when Shitu, a two time child widow, is given shelter by Visus father. The entire story revolves around both of them, their world, and their unspoken relationship.

Lord Ganesha is a 10-year-old boy, and Mooshak the mouse is his helper, best friend, and confidant, and a very reluctant accomplice. Together, they stumble into interesting and challenging situations, where they meet, interact with, understand, and learn from mythological, legendary, and fictional characters from across space and time. Characters like Santa Claus, Cinderella, Pinocchio, Anansi, Alice in Wonderland, gods from other cultures, aliens, dwarves, elves, giants...
