Life not only throws spanners in the works, it throws at times whatever it can get hold of, it catches us off guard and makes us feel just so vulnerable. Whether it's something financial, health related, work wise, relationships or a combination of all of those it matters not, it is not nice and furthermore very much dulls our outlook on life, which in reality is the last thing we need.

We all get upset from time to time, whether it is from bad service, other people being rude, things not going the way they should, the list is endless and it affects us. Similarly we get annoyed by the excess of current politically correct morons who are forever getting offended for the sake of it and have nothing to back up their position other than by default being subhumans and can't get to grips with free speech and the fact that others have a different opinion to themselves.

Whatever happens in life you are the one who has to experience it no one else. Your decisions come from your mind no where else. Even if you choose to follow someone else and it all goes wrong, it is still your decision that was enacted not theirs. Modern day blame culture is rubbish and pathetic. How you experience pain, pleasure, unfairness, love, selfishness, etc, it is all processed in your mind as that is where you live no where else.

The word "spirituality" is brandished about today as almost a surrogate word for God. Instead of saying you believe in whatever religion you do, it's almost the "in thing" to say you are spiritual and believe in the Universe (whatever that means). The Universe exists whether you believe in it or not. Even the dictionay definition of the word spirituality is somewhat vague in that it can mean a lot of different things, even if pertaining to the same thing.

It is true that a smile can elevate the soul, improve your wellbeing, make you more accessible to others and indeed companies if you go for an interview. But what happens when we are hurting, saddened, unhappy, lonely, fearful, upset? The first thing we should not do is "Stop smiling" wearing our anguish only tends to make matters worse and sympathy is a hollow virtue in that it can elevate the senses but has no substance whatsoever.

At times we all come an impass, an area in life whether we are starting out or perhaps in mid-life where we think we need to be somewhere else. Where we feel that we have either outgrown or exhausted our past and we need to do something else and move on. Our decisions can be relatively easy or they can be overwhelmingly difficult. Many people at some time or another experience the feeling of "going through Hell". Each experience is different from person to person, and what one has to endure (which may be horrific), another person in comparison may only be experience as slight discomfort. However, the bottom line is how we feel that is most important and how we deal with it and come out at the other end a different and better person than we were before it all took place.

Grief can strike in the best of us, it can be debilitating, it can make us feel morose and it can almost permanently take the edge off of everything we do. Grief is a condition that you create yourself. We can all suffer at times from grief yet for those who dwell on it, it tends to create a life of its own and then it becomes a part of us and then it almost consumes us to the extent we lose our free thought and hide behind it as a facade and an excuse as to not to fail or move forward.

Our attitude defines us as people, our attitude denotes who we are and what we do and why. Our attitude speaks volumes about our character and how we think and view life and what we hold dear, in fact our attitude is everything. Our attitude is what others latch onto in us and similarly it's others' attitude that we latch onto to make an assessment of what they are like and can, indeed, we trust them in every respect. Those who are thick, stupid, ignorant, egotistical are those who get angry very quickly by because they just can't comprehend much else with their stunted mental growth.

'Coming Out' for many people is or can be a fearful task. For some it's not a problem. Whichever side you find yourself on you don't want to live in the closet; you have a right to be who you are and you definitely don't need anyone's permission to be you. And as for those who say "It's a choice" when did they make a choice to be "straight". This and the following downloads explores and identifies who you are as a person.

Love is the essential ingredient in life that makes it worth living, it seeps into every corner of our lives, and where love is - evil isn't. Where love has the upper hand devious and cruel existences can't survive.You can see that the societies that have "love" within them prosper and create whereas those that have conditional love have unjust and repressive societies that control and kill and are barbaric in nature. Love allows us to be happy, be comfortable, to prosper not only in wealth but the quality of our lives and our health. Love nurtures and cares and gives unlimited options to move forward without hindrance.

Life Bites Series. Relationships of all sorts whether they are personal friends, acquaintances, work colleagues, neighbours or those significant others need working on. You cannot take any relationship for granted then expect it to stay the same forever, it just doesn't exist. A relationship is give and take, it doesn't have to be 50/50 it can even be 90/10 provided it equals 100 then it is a success.

Many people today are desperate for love. They think that once love arrives all their problems will be solved or cushioned to an extent that they will be able to cope better. Love doesn't work like that. Love comes in many guises and each and everyone are unique to that person. Those that say "I have a lot of love to give to the right person" are usually selfish to a huge degree. Love never runs out, and the more love you give to life and those around you the richer it gets.

The journey for many in their quest to "come out" can be as different as chalk and cheese. Society, religions, cultures, ignorace, media (ironically), small mindedness, and even education can be evil in nature and lack "love" and understanding. However, none of this ever changes who you are, and once "out" life changes for the better, even if one gets snide remarks at times.

Our relationship with ourselves (are we happy about who we are), others, and life is holistic; if it gets out of kilter then we become discordant and uneasy and then a whole manner of silly things happen which makes matters even worse. It's important that we understand this because any relationship, if it is to be sound, must have some firm foundations because nothing in life lives in isolation - everything has a part in something else.

If we can't communicate we can't express our love, our upset, our thoughts, our feelings, our aspirations, our creativity, in fact if we don't express ourselves we are making ourselves redundant in life and falling very short of who we are. Yes, there are despots and dictators and evil religions that supress communications and the messages they deliver, but the irony of all of that is that they poach from the societies that allow communications because they haven't themelves the guts or brain power to effectively use it.

Relationships with our partners and "best" friends need to be of a high quality in order to feel "as one". If you have a partner the conversation should have changed from "me" to "us" and from "I" to "we"; if it hasn't then what are you doing together? The union of a couple whether straight or gay (or anything else) is a mutual harmony, otherwise what is the union all about. All this "I need my space" is a modern "cop-out", stay single and enjoy all the space you need. Selfishness in a relationship is a major curse as is "emotional blackmail", harmony doesn't have pockets of personal agendas, which doesn't mean you can't have individual thoughts and aspirations.

Nothing in life is ever that simple, and if you are "coming out", then you can have additional complications, because of outmoded race or cultural pressures which have no bearing on today's life whatsoever - other than being carried forward by ignorant minds. Taboos, ideologies, personal fears of "what others may think" all stem from redundant thoughts and times of the past. We can't choose who we are, nor how we are, nor indeed where we are.

Coming out, despite the possible initial impetus to do so, is one of the most liberating aspects of your life. It is you who is being you. You don't need approval or permission nor anything else. Accepting who you are in every way is not only cathartic but puts you in a strong and definable position, because it is you who has to live with yourself every second of every day.

We end up physically a product of what we eat. Fat, unhealthy, sluggish if we eat too much, etc. Similarly if we feed our mind with negative rubbish that the media spew out then we will subliminally start to dwell on events and situations that are way out of our control and thus lose the directnss of our own focus. We need to have a clear perspective at all times and understand what life is about, otherwise we will fall into a habit of thinking that we are disadvantaged when we don't even try. Life is how we view it, nothing more, hence it can be many things to many people.
