After years at her newspaper job as a writer, they’ve cut back on everything and put her into the advertising department. On her way out of town for the weekend, she gets kidnapped by a strange family needing her help.

Poor Choices is a short story about an intelligent man named Dan who works retail. Dan has a lot of talents and a good education, but he is prone to making bad choices that keep him from really having the type of life that he wants. He works at a company called Game Swap, which is a used video game store not unlike ones you see in the mini-malls across America. The story takes real-life inspiration from working at a video game retail store and all the annoyances that come from working within that corporate structure.

Will devises a plan to return to Iowa and finish high school where he had started and been so happy. He approaches his parents with his plan and to his surprise finds he has their support.

Never before have malevolent spirits, poltergeists, and haunted houses been so funny. Make no mistake though, the terror is real; it’s the witless protagonists and their incredibly inappropriate reactions that give the story its humor.

All the ideas portrayed in the story of Peter are to help the world today find the most out of the life they live. To realize they can give themselves if they feel that they don’t have enough and there is someone who needs it more than you know. It indicates to not wallow in sadness, even if it is all you have.
