In January I am going to a country house in England in Yorkshire. It is a place with a lot of rain and fog in the park. The house has a tunnel of beautiful but empty rooms that are filled with the sound of footsteps and the cold winter light. What I like most about the country house is that it is the setting for a story set in a made-up eighteenth century. I have been talking about a TV show starring Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell for years. But now that the time has come and I am at Wentworth Woodhouse I have no idea what to do. The size of the house is not the scary thing about it.
