After a few failed dates, Heather suggests that Danny take a hiatus from the love scene and focus on his work. But soon, he hears from David there’s a storm headed straight toward the Outer Banks - and his beloved Susan.

A year after leaving Scotland, Susan Miller has freshly graduated from college and has a job as the manager of the printing department of a tourism magazine in the Outer Banks. One day as she’s going through her daily routine, she receives an unexpected call from her old flame, Danny, who tells her that he’ll be visiting the North Carolinian coast for work. Immediately a flood of emotions resurfaces as the two of them meet up again along the ocean shoreline and decide to take a trip across Susan’s home state.

While David uses logic and medical research to control his dark thoughts.
