A well-known hunter, environment conservationist Jim Corbett was known throughout the world for killing man eating leopards and tigers. The story talks about his favorite hunting companion Robin, his faithful spaniel dog, who was trained to accompany Jim Corbett during hunts of man-eating tigers. Robin assisted Jim almost in all the major hunts in various ways. However in one incidence Robin himself was in trouble.

The Thak man-eater was a female Bengal tiger who killed and ate four human victims (two women, two men) between September and November 1938.
