Resumen
Resumen del editor
Different stories about the origin of Hanuman, the superhero of India, are discussed. The Ramayana is also a tale about orphans, and how each of them is linked to form a beautiful tapestry. Hanuman is taught by the Sun God and becomes arrogant. A sage curses him saying he will forget his superpowers. Hanuman becomes the friend and servant of Sugriva, Prince of the Vanaras, the monkey-people, who has been banished by his brother, King Baali. Hanuman meets Rama and tests him. Various folk versions tell of how Hanuman and Rama grew up together in Ayodhya. This is the tale of the Vanara brothers Baali and Sugriva. Different stories of their origin are discussed. How Baali defeats Ravan, and Baali and Sugriva have a falling out, are detailed here.
